The question that made us build something different.
The Native Folks was created from a simple belief — food should feel honest, pure, and close to its source. In a market increasingly shaped by shortcuts and artificial processing, we wanted to build a brand rooted in traditional methods, mindful sourcing, and transparency people can trust.
Our journey begins in the soil — nourished naturally through practices like Jeevamrit — and continues through careful farming, slow sun-drying, and lab-tested quality standards designed to preserve purity at every step.
We believe food does not need to be chemically altered to look appealing. That is why our raisins are naturally darker, free from sulphur and bleaching, and made in limited batches with care.
As The Native Folks grows, our vision is to create a range of products that stay true to the same philosophy: honest ingredients, thoughtful processes, and food that feels real again.
"If we can't trust it for our own home, we won't offer it to yours."
— The Native FolksThe Native Folks was founded by three people from very different professional backgrounds, brought together by one shared belief — food should feel honest again.
Abhay grew up close to farming and spent over 15 years in corporate sales, witnessing both the realities of agriculture and the growing disconnect between how food is produced and how it is marketed. Kaushik brought deep operational involvement and a hands-on understanding of sourcing, quality, and execution — ensuring that every promise made by the brand is actually followed on the ground. Rohan spent over 15 years building brands and consumer businesses, closely observing how modern consumers were becoming increasingly conscious about what goes into their food and where it truly comes from.
What connected all three was a growing realization that somewhere between the farm and the shelf, food had quietly changed.
It started with a farm visit in the summer of 2024. What began as a simple sourcing trip turned into a much deeper conversation about how natural food was increasingly being altered for speed, appearance, and convenience — sulphur for faster drying, bleaching for a golden colour, additives for longer shelf life. Not necessarily for better food. Just for easier systems.
That realization became the starting point for The Native Folks. We started with raisins not because it was easy, but because it clearly reflected how far everyday food had moved away from its natural form.
The goal was simple: to build products rooted in honesty, thoughtful sourcing, and processes that stay as close to nature as possible.

15 years building consumer businesses. Now building one he actually believes in.
On the ground, every day. The reason our promises don't stay on paper.
Farmer's son. 15 years in corporate sales. He's seen both sides of the food chain.
